We value the wellbeing of our employees, contractors, customers and the environment, and are committed to responsible management practices that minimise any adverse health, safety or environmental impacts arising from our activities, products or services.

We have established, maintain and continually improve a Health, Safety, Environment and Security management system for all our activities, based on which we consistently:

		Identify and manage risks to as low as reasonably practicable where they have the potential to cause an accident, injury or illness to people, physical or psychological, or unacceptable impacts on the environment.
		Measure our global impact on the environment and set objectives to promote the efficient use of resources and minimize emissions.

In implementing this Policy we will engage with our employees, contractors, suppliers, business partners, customers and the authorities and communicate expectations to all persons working with or on behalf of LCM. With the continued growth of the company, 2008 is a key year for LCM, and a unique opportunity to establish the fundamentals for sustained HSES performance. The objectives for the year 2008 have been set as follows:

		Reinforce our preventive measures, especially in the high-risk area of vehicles operation, to achieve zero accident on all our projects.
		In construction, review all operating procedures and establish the standards to minimize accidents frequency and severity, using industry averages as benchmarks.
		Establish an evaluation of the environmental impact of the company, with the additional objective of initiating an energy saving program.

We will review this policy and associated objectives on an annual basis, or more often if Management Review outputs dictate the need for it.
