April 2009 - LCM UK wins Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade
LCM has been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category that recognises companies that have demonstrated growth in overseas earnings. This award is one of the most respected corporate accolades that a UK business can win – it rewards outstanding achievement - and LCM in particular won it for increasing its export earnings by 80% over 3 years to nearly £20 million per annum.
The Awards are made each year by The Queen of England, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions. The judging process is very thorough and the awards are given solely on merit. For winners it means receiving worldwide recognition and extensive press coverage.
This year, more than 1000 companies took part and about 20% actually received the award. Originally known as the Queen’s Award for Industry instituted in 1966, there are 3 categories today: International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development.
Mehdi Rheljari: “We are extremely proud and honoured to have been considered – it’s a great achievement for LCM. We would like to thank all of our employees for their commitment and dedication to the company to make this award possible. For our clients, this is proof that we are a successful and credible company that provides high quality services and we hope it is going to open doors for us to new markets, suppliers, customers, investors and partners on a worldwide basis.”
