February 2009 - H2S Emergency Response Service - Cascade System
The installation & fabrication of LCM’s H2S unit which includes a Breathing Air Cascade & Gas Detection System is completed and ready for mobilization.
The Breathing Air Cascade System includes High Pressure Cascade Cylinders, Breathing apparatus, Work lines, High pressure hoses, Breathing Air Manifolds & Breathing Air Compressor to support the Drilling/ Production/ Well testing activities of Sour wells. All High Pressure Cascade cylinders are installed inside the unit. The breathing apparatus are of positive pressure type & available in 3 different types. The equipment will be installed at the sites by LCM H2S Technicians. They will provide training for the use of the Breathing Apparatus, Cascade System & H2S Emergency response on site. The Breathing Air is tested for the quality to confirm CGA standard.
The Gas Detection System includes Fixed Flammable & H2S Sensors, Visual & Audible alarms. The system will be calibrated & maintained by LCM’s H2S Technicians on site. Portable Sulphur
dioxide
detectors are provided for the well testing operations.
