June 2008 - Remote Flare Ignition System Project
In Spring 2008, we informed about the new contracts we won with ENI Oil to dismantle and install a completely new flare gas system - flare stacks, piping headers, ignition panels, instrumentation and electrical, etc.
In Spring 2008, we informed about the new contracts we won with ENI Oil to dismantle and install a completely new flare gas system - flare stacks, piping headers, ignition panels, instrumentation and electrical, etc.
LCM finished this project in late June. The former flare gas system was shorter in height and was ignited manually. The newly installed system is ignited from an ignition panel more than 300m away from the actual flare.
The system works as a safety device for protection of vessels and pipes within an oil plant. It burns all unwanted flammable gases (and liquids) that are released from the oil plant.
